Hello, my name is Abhishek (@coffeeandjunk). I’m a designer and an entrepreneur based out of Mumbai. Welcome to my internet home!
I write about clear thinking and decision making. The central theme of my work is to help you identify how the world works so that you can make it work for yourself.
My goal is to help you go to bed each night smarter than when you woke up by providing you with the tools, ideas and systems you need to think better.
Check out my greatest hits for a curated list of the best stuff I’ve produced, or glance at all the articles I’ve written. For succinct and actionable thoughts, read these Little Bits of Wisdom. To know more about me, read the FAQs.
There are always two sides to everything—the good and the bad, the seen and the unseen, the upside and the downside. In other words, the coffee and the junk. I address both. How to both avoid and exploit cognitive biases to get things done. How to both avoid and exploit logical fallacies to win arguments. And also, how to see both the positive and the negative aspects of a strategy.
I follow the adage of the great Charlie Munger:
“Well, the first rule is that you can’t really know anything if you just remember isolated facts and try and bang ‘em back. If the facts don’t hang together on a latticework of theory, you don’t have them in a usable form.”
“You’ve got to have models in your head. And you’ve got to array your experience—both vicarious and direct—on this latticework of models.”
I am fortunate to share my work with a broad audience. My readers include students, teachers, CEOs, coaches, athletes, artists, leaders, politicians, and many other fine folks who aspire to avoid problems and make better decisions.

My dream is to help a million people through my work—help them get better jobs, build better relationships, make better decisions, build better habits, achieve both wealth and success, and live a good life.
I spend my free-time reading books, building products, and playing board games.
