Hi, I’m Abhishek.

I’ve been writing at CoffeeAndJunk.com since 2018. I’m a designer, developer, entrepreneur, and an explorer of all things new. I’m also known for my popular Sunday Wisdom newsletter, which is a weekly dose of multidisciplinary wisdom. Click here to learn more and sign up.

How My Work Will Benefit You

I’m an advocate of useful ideas. The central question I explore through my work is, “How can we go to bed smarter than when we woke up?”

In other words, I want to find timeless lessons from various fields and explain them in a way that is easy to use and apply to daily life. You won’t find fads, sound-bytes, or strategies that work for a while then fail when things change. Instead you’ll find insights and wisdom that makes things easier, not harder.

My writing focuses on topics like…

  • How to make good decisions and avoid bad ones
  • How to get more done with less work
  • How to create better systems and processes
  • How to learn new things
  • How to achieve meaningful results without overwhelming yourself

Most of all, I write about how to put these ideas into practice in daily life.

Since I focus on timeless wisdom, you don’t have to read anything when it comes out. Articles from 2018 are just as useful and relevant as the one I wrote last week.

Most of the concepts I write about aren’t my own. They are ideas I discover and build upon by standing on the shoulders of giants. This involves many hours of reading and research. I look for insights from all fields: economics, psychology, mathematics, physics, statistics, philosophy, and more.

I consider it my job to learn lots about better living by reading things that have nothing to do with better living. Greed, fear, risk, opportunity, and scarcity—the most powerful forces that drive how the world works—reveal themselves in all kinds of fields.

More important is this: If we find something that is true in more than one field, we’ve uncovered something particularly important. The more fields it shows up in, the more likely it is to be a fundamental and recurring driver of how the world works.

I don’t claim to have all the answers and I still have a lot to learn, but I’m happy to share what I’ve discovered so far. My work isn’t the only way to think about life, but it’s how I think about it. Hopefully, you’ll find it useful as well.
